"HADDI [Zee5] Movie Review: Vengeance Unveiled - A Dark Tale of Revenge and Redemption"

Synopsis

"HADDI" focuses on a revenge drama where a eunuch seeks retribution against a powerful man to dismantle his empire and exact her vengeance.

Direction

Akshat Ajay Sharma's direction is commendable, but the script goes haywire in the first half. Numerous subplots and events unfold, leaving viewers perplexed about the ultimate message.

Technical Aspects

Cinematography by Jay Oza and Piyush Putty is decent. Editing by Tanya Chhabaria and Raghav Gupta falters in the first half but gradually improves in the second half, clarifying the missing links.

Music by Rohan Rohan, particularly the background score, is a valuable asset, enhancing the film's scenes and mood.

The writing by Adamya Bhalla and Akshat Ajay Sharma is satisfactory but could have been more polished.

Performances

Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub's talent is underutilized. Vipin Sharma delivers a good performance. Resh Lamba is fantastic in their role. Shridhar Dubey and Saharsh Kumar Shukla perform adequately in their respective roles. Rajesh Kumar and Saurabh Sachdeva have pivotal roles and excel in their performances.

It's a delight to watch Ila Arun ji on screen, delivering a fantastic performance. Anurag Kashyap, the filmmaker, proves his acting prowess once again. Nawazuddin Siddiqui shines as the soul of the film, portraying both a killer and a eunuch with finesse. His portrayal in a saree is exceptionally beautiful and one of his best acts.

Overall Verdict

"HADDI" has script-level loopholes, but it is worth a watch for the stellar performances by the cast, especially if you are a fan of dark, revenge-driven stories.
